Sunday 14th June 2026 – London Festival of Architecture Guided Tours

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Sunday 14th June for guided tours as part of the London Festival of Architecture. This year the theme of the festival is Belonging.

Samuel Pepys, who lived in the parish and is buried here with his wife Elizabeth, called it “our own church” but many others from around the world have felt a sense of belonging to this place near the historic Pool of London.

Described by John Betjeman as “a country church in the world of Seething Lane,” the building uniquely blends medieval fabric with Festival of Britain era motifs.

We welcomed nearly two hundred people over the course of the afternoon to explore this fascinating church, in the month we celebrate the start of its restoration after the blitz. Our tours uncovered stories of connection, memory and those commemorated here.

Do join us for our special events and services in the months ahead. If you are inspired by our building its history you may be especially interested in our St Olave Lectures which take place throughout the year on diverse and diverting topics.
