Gifts of non-perishable food and hygiene products welcome. Stay after the service for a bring-and-share Harvest Lunch.

Please join us for this special service of Holy Communion with beautiful music and harvest hymns sung by our choir. We are delighted that The Rt Revd David Urquhart KCMG will be with us to confirm candidates before they receive Holy Communion for the first time. Please support them as they take this next step in their journey of faith. If you are interested in being baptised, confirmed or received into the Church of England from another denomination, please get in touch. Our informal and friendly baptism and confirmation preparation classes are taking place during September.

Harvest Festival with Music by the St Olave Singers
Tuesday 6th October 12.30pm-1.15pm

We are joined by our community choir, the St Olave Singers this Tuesday lunchtime as we celebrate Harvest in the City, giving thanks for the generosity of God and the goodness of his creation and celebrating the fruits of the harvest in all its forms. Register for an email reminder at this link.

The celebration of Harvest has deep roots at St Olave Hart Street. Sir John Betjeman described this place as ‘a country church in the world of Seething Lane’. When he did so, The London Corn Exchange still stood next door. For much of our recent history the church was surrounded by warehouses containing products from far and wide. Today the goods and services produced by those working in the parish are different but no less vital for life across the world. Please bring small donations of non-perishable food and hygiene products to either service if you are able, for distribution to local charities supporting people experiencing homelessness and hardship.
