Friday 18th December 2026 – 1PM-2.30PM – Dickens’ A Christmas Carol – with West End Actor Gary Cordice

Come and experience Charles Dickens’ immortal Christmas story A Christmas Carol, brought vividly to life in the historic surroundings of St Olave Hart Street – what Dickens described as his ‘best beloved churchyard!’

West End actor and singer Gary Cordice takes us on Scrooge’s extraordinary journey through Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come, bringing to life Ebenezer Scrooge, the Cratchit family, the Three Spirits and a host of other much-loved characters.

Blending dramatic storytelling, characterisation and song, Gary’s one-man performance captures the humour, humanity and enduring message of Dickens’ great Christmas tale.

Gary is a seasoned professional actor and singer whose West End credits include Starlight Express, The Lion King and Five Guys Named Moe. He is also a writer and composer, with his new one-man play, Mislike Me Not, For the Benefit of Samuel Morgan Smith, due to premiere in 2027.

And what could be more Christmassy than Dickens in one of the City of London’s most atmospheric historic churches?

Join us at St Olave’s for an evening of ghosts, redemption and Christmas cheer — accompanied, of course, by mince pies and mulled wine.

Come and have your spirits cheered and your heart warmed by one of the greatest Christmas stories ever told.
